It was a great Wednesday spent with our colleagues at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, seeing our Community Diagnostic Vehicle (CDV) initiative in action.
The goal of the CDV is simple: Putting patients first by bringing hospital grade diagnostics into the community to prevent unnecessary ED visits.
Made possible by our exclusive partnership with Fujifilm Healthcare UK. Using their state of the art portable equipment, we are able to deliver essential testing directly to patients, which can include X-ray, ultrasound, IVD blood and urine analysis, and UTI testing.

Because diagnostics and reporting are completed within the patient visiting window by ST, clinicians have the information they need to make rapid decisions right at the point of care.
By managing the complete complex operational delivery, from vehicle, equipment, clinical staffing to governance and secure digital connectivity, and pathway integration, Sovereign Talents ensures the focus remains exactly where it should be on keeping vulnerable people safely out of hospital and in the comfort of their communities.

Valerie Middleton is joined by the brilliant teams from South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, HealthHero and HCRG Care Group, who have been vital to the success and breadth of the project. We had a highly productive day catching up with frontline crews.
A special thanks to Health Hero/SWAST who arranged the day!
With 92% of patients kept out of hospital so far, we look forward to sharing more soon about the milestones from our first few months at GWH and what is next for the CDV.
